Conover Family Practice

The roots of Conover Family Practice extend back to 1946, when Dr. W. T. MacLauchlin joined Dr. C. E. Cloninger in a practice of General Medicine, establishing the Conover Medical Clinic. The name was changed in 1989 to Conover Family Practice to better reflect the kind of medical services provided to the community.
In 1998, Conover Family Practice joined together with Granite Falls Primary Care Physicians, Medical Arts Clinic, and Springs Road Family Practice to form Crown Health Care. With the arrival of a sixth provider in 2003, Dr. Brian Vierling, Conover Family Practice completed the expansion and remodeling of their offices in 2004.
Conover Family Practice offers on-site lab and x-ray services
and has both a Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner. Dr. William
Long is a Certified Clinical Dexometrist, Crown's expert on osteoporosis, and
interprets all of the dexascans performed at Crown. In addition to the weekday schedule, Conover Family Practice offers acute office hours on Saturday mornings starting at 9 am.
